How Avenua collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you design and share learning experiences.
Information Avenua collects
We aim to collect only what we need to run Avenua and give you your studio.
- Account details you provide, such as your name, username, and email address.
- Content you create, including learning experiences, notes, and learning-map items.
- Files and materials you upload, such as lesson plans, PDFs, slides, images, and worksheets.
- Basic technical information needed to operate the service (for example, session data).
Account information
Avenua uses email and password authentication provided through our authentication provider. Your password is handled by that provider and is not stored in plain text by Avenua.
We store your acceptance of the Terms of Use and acknowledgement of this Privacy Policy, along with timestamps and the policy version, so we can show you changes over time.
User-created learning experiences
Experiences, learning maps, and related notes you create are associated with your account so you can return to and manage them.
Uploaded files and educational materials
Materials you upload are stored so they can be shown inside your experiences. You control whether an experience is private, shared, or public.
How Avenua uses information

- To operate, maintain, and improve the service.
- To communicate with you about your account and important changes.
How information is stored
Account data and content are stored using our infrastructure and database providers. Storage locations and retention configurations are chosen to keep your data secure and available.
Data sharing and third-party services
Avenua does not sell your personal information. We rely on service providers (for example, hosting, database, and analytics vendors) to operate the platform, and share information with them only as needed to provide the service.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account from Account Settings. Some information may need to be retained where required by law. The exact deletion process depends on the backend configuration in place at launch.
Your data rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your information. The mechanisms to exercise these rights must be confirmed for each jurisdiction before launch.
Children's and student data
Avenua is an education platform and may be used in classrooms. Practices for students and minors are described in the Student & Children Privacy page and must be configured per jurisdiction before launch.
Security
We take reasonable steps intended to protect information. No online service can promise perfect security, and specific safeguards must be verified before any security claims are made publicly.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy. When we make material changes we will update the version and effective date shown at the top of this page.
